2K Announces Minerva's Den DLC for BioShock 2
2K Games has proclaimed Minerva's Den, an upcoming DLC expansion for BioShock 2 that will finally bring some meaningful new undivided-player content to the game.
The BioShock 2 DLC billet hasn't exactly been a not-stop cavalcade of awesomeness so far. Most of it has centred on multiplayer and the unrivalled single-role player expansion that's total out, Defender's Trials, was little more than recycled levels and purposeless exercises in defending a Little Sister from onrushing Splicers. But now information technology looks the likes of 2K is at last ready to ejaculate across with something worthy.
In Mivera's Lair, players will search Rapture Central Computing, a ne'er-before-seen area of the city packed with deadly Splicers, upgraded security department bots and even a post new model of Big Daddy. Players wish have access to high technology weaponry and a right new Plasmid as they join up with Dr. Tenenbaum to free the district from the clutches of a despot and uncover yet more dark secrets most Andrew Ryan, the increasingly villainous cave in of Rapture.
"Minerva's Hideout is a substantial gain that will give players to a greater extent of what they're superficial for: more story, more narrative, more gameplay and more of Rapture," aforesaid 2K Games President Christoph Hartmann. "The core team has created an exciting product that further enhances the mystery and allure of the mankind of Rapture. Minerva's Den bequeath be a fitting conclusion to the BioShock 2 saga."
That "fitting conclusion" mention sounds a bit odd in light of the fact that last month, Hartmann described the Defender's Trials release as "just the offse" for various-player DLC. Is it really the end for BioShock 2? We've dropped a pedigree to 2K Games and we'll let you know what they say.
Minerva's Den was created by BioShock 2 studio 2K Marin for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Prices and going date give birth non yet been revealed.
